Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Currently staying here. Were booked into Virgin nearby but then found out like many nyc hotels, the swimming pool closes to kids at midday. This place is awesome though from the outside you'd never know it. Brilliant food and drinks and the pool is great too. Beds are super comfy. And yes the rooms are small but it's nyc and it's pretty normal. 26th floor is super quiet so if you're with family or need peace, it's a good floor to be on. Highly recommended and close to just about everything πŸ‘Œ

We had another fantastic stay at Margaritaville near Times Square! This was our second stay here, and if anything, we were even more impressed this time. We were able to check in early for a small additional fee, which was perfect as it meant we could head straight out and start exploring the city. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the bartenders and housekeeping team. Our room was lovely, with a beautiful view from the 8th floor, plenty of space for our luggage, and a spacious bathroom with a large shower. Housekeeping left two bottles of water in the room every day. We also had a well-functioning refrigerator, a safe, and a TV with the option to cast from our phones. The pool on the 6th floor was usually quite busy, but there were always seats available. The bar service was fast and efficient, and the drinks were excellent! After checking out, the hotel kindly stored our luggage while we went out to explore the city before our flight. They also helped arrange transportation to the airport at a very reasonable price. We were picked up by an efficient driver right outside the hotel, and one of the friendly staff members even helped us wi

Rooms are small but the location is perfect if you want to walk around the city and site see. The pool is really convenient but does get packed quick. My experience was going great UNTIL… I DO NOT recommend the rooftop bar, β€œ5 o clock somewhere”. I came to the city to celebrate 2 friends birthdays and our plan was to celebrate Friday night at the rooftop bar. Only 2 of us were staying at the hotel so we were at our table waiting for the rest of our group ( 2 more) to come. We opened a tab and got a drink. While we waited (around 20 mins) the server came over SIX times to tell us that we need to start ordering more or move to the bar area because other guest would like to sit outside and plan to spend more money. I informed him that we are waiting for 2 others and once they came I planned to do dinner and bottle service. Well, he told me he gets paid off guest spending money and he turned a party away that was ready to buy the bottles. Mind you, we had a tab open, was actively drinking, there was no minimum spends, and the inside was empty. My other 2 friends were on their way up in the elevator when this happened but we didn’t appreciate the service so we decided to leave. The ser
